CDC Software Q2 Net Income Hit USD7.8mn   Jul 30, 2010

BEIJING, July 30 SinoCast -- CDC Software Corp. (NASDAQ: CDCS) had a net income of USD 7.8 million in the quarter ended June 30, according to Non-GAAP-based quarterly financial results the global hybrid enterprise software applications and services provider released on July 29.

Operating revenue was USD 54 million and earnings per share were USD 0.27. The figures it achieved a year ago stood at USD 8.4 million, USD 50.6 million and USD 0.34, each. The dropped earnings per share should be attributed to its shift to hybrid software mode, increased prior sales and marketing cost and high tax rate. In addition, it captured huge unpaid-up operating revenue via SaaS (software as a service) business, with the cost being accounted into financial results for this quarter.

Adjusted EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) reached USD 11.7 million, compared to USD 10.6 million in the quarter ended March 31 and USD 13.7 million a year ago. Cash and cash equivalent hit USD 29.5 million as at June 30, with adjusted EBITDA profit margin touching 22 percent, compared to 20 percent a quarter ago and 27 percent a year earlier.
